In a report submitted to National Technical Research Organization (NTRO) by Gujarat Police’s Ahmedabad Cyber Cell confirmed technical bugs in 50 Indian government websites. These are serious flaws which need immediate attention.
The audit was conducted by the cyber cell technical team, and it took them several months to go through hundreds of state and union government websites. The audit report has been sent to the respective department which operates under a unit of NTRO marked by the PMO.
As stated by Mr. Amit Vasava, DCP- Ahmedabad Cyber Crime Cell, it was a routine ethical hacking learning module. The team consists of each inspector and sub-inspector, and other 9 lok rakshak dal jawans (6 male and 3 women), which are all certified computer engineers. In addition, the department has hired a private Mumbai-based cyber security agency, Pristine Info Solutions for training.
The Ahmedabad Cyber Crime Cell has also hired 7 interns to work on other specific projects.
Hopefully we get the bugs resolved soon and timely audit the systems in the future for hassle-free and secure user experience.
With world working from home, it's time to make it enjoyable and effective.
