1. Who should apply to which course & what should be the study path?
Ideally for Network Security, the track is CCNA → Ethical Hacking → RHCSA & RHCE → Virtualization → Firewall Administration → NPT Level I → NPT Level II
For Software Security, the track is C → SQL, PL-SQL, Oracle → Core Java → Advance Java → Ethical Hacking → WAPT Level I → WAPT Level II
For end to end security, the track is combination of above.
If you wish to do a course, ideally the previous course knowledge is required.
2. What are the eligibility criteria?
We do have eligibility criteria. You are eligible to apply to ISOEH, if -
- You need to clear the class 12 board exam. You are eligible if you appear for the exam and await the result. If not, you can not apply.
- If you are class 10 pass, you need to be a student of Diploma Engineering or have at least 1 year experience in the hardware / networking field.
- We do not accept students from ARTS (Humanity) background. Simply because you won’t find a good job, even if you master the skills of cyber security. You will always be treated as 2nd class citizens in an IT company, behind the BTech, BCA, BSc Cs, MCA.
- If you are doing MBA - IT, you are eligible.
- If you have 1 year experience in hardware or network field, you are eligible, irrespective of your academic background (but has to be class 10 pass).
- If you have completed CCNA global certification, you are eligible for Network Security courses.
- We do not accept anyone who does not class 10 pass, irrespective of your experience or other qualification.
- The above criteria is strictly followed so that you do not get into a false hope that taking enrollment in ISOEH means a 2.5 Lac per month job (yes that's what our students have been offered within India). If we see, corporate will not offer you a good salary because of your background (Arts, class 10 fail), we don’t encourage you to waste your money taking up our course. We won’t take you.
- We do not look into your past grades, as we believe you can become better once you start taking tuition from us. There is talent within everyone. A good teacher is needed to rekindle it. In the past you may not have got that good teacher but we can provide you the mentor once you join our Gurukul. So everyone is welcome, as long as you fit the criteria (1–7).
3. I am a working professional with 1 year experience in network/software. Am I eligible?
You are eligible for any course, provided you have the right prerequisite knowledge. Check answer to question #1 for the study track.
4. Where do I get to know the syllabus, duration of the course and fees from?
Click on the course menu & check the syllabus on the individual pages.
Most of the short term courses are of one month duration.
Classes are conducted usually 2-3 days a week for around 3 hours per class.
Fast track courses are also conducted for students coming from outside Kolkata. Consecutive classes for longer hours are conducted to complete the syllabus within 7-10 days. Since these classes are conducted by one faculty assigned to particular one student, the fees will be higher.
5. How many students do you accommodate per batch?
Usually 5-10 students.
During summer vacations & winter vacations, expect 10-15 students a batch.
6. How do I know when is the next batch starting?
For popular courses, we have batches starting almost in every 2 weeks. For courses that have stricter admission criteria, expect a new batch starting every month. Keep checking the NEXT BATCH menu on top for updated information. However, to get more details, you may visit our office, where we can discuss & assign a batch that would be suitable for you.
7. What are the timings of a normal batch?
We are open 7 days a week, 9am to 7pm. Our batches are scheduled within the office time. We have weekend batches as well. Corporate students usually opt for weekend batches conducted on Saturday & Sunday.
8. Do you provide job assistance?
All our students have been well placed at top MNCs. We have a placement cell. We make our students competent enough, so that they become the most sought after professionals in the industry. If you require, we help you in drafting your CV & share with you details of the companies who are hiring.
Companies also hire from us directly via campus visit.
As per Nasscom survey, at this moment, we need 5 lakh security professionals & we have only 50 thousands. There is an acute shortage of skilled workers in this security sector. There should not be any problem finding the top jobs, if you can learn the right skills from us.
Typical salaries offered to our fresher students are 40k per month. Highest has been 2 lac per month, for a student placed in Hyderabad.
Condition to apply for placement - 90% attendance, good grades, submission of lab assignments and project reports assigned by faculty.
9. Who are the faculties?
Our faculties are industry professionals who also work for our audit company ISOAH Data Securities Pvt. Ltd.. They have 10-20 years of individual industry experience. They are CEH, CHFI, CISA, CISSP, ISO 27001 Lead Auditor, etc. Many of our faculties have experience of working in India & abroad.
We have been invited as speaker / trainer at FICCI, ISACA, Nasscom, STPI, CII, US High Comm, ICAI, Kolkata Police, CID, CRPF etc.

10. Do you have branches anywhere else other than Kolkata?
Not at the moment. We believe in maintaining highest quality. Opening franchises may force a compromise on the quality check. At the moment, we have students from all over India and abroad.
If you are a working professional from outside Kolkata or India, we can conduct online classes through TeamViewer & Skype.
11. How do you offer online courses for candidates outside India?
We conduct online classes through TeamViewer & Skype according to our student's convenience keeping in mind the time zone.
The lab is set up in their laptop /desktop. We log into their machine to show all demo & conduct the classes. Very little bandwidth is used.
12. What is the process for admission?

If you are from outside Kolkata but within India, we’ll suggest you to come here for a month or at least a week to avail fast track course.

13. What documents need to be submitted to enroll?

- Scanned / photocopy of your highest qualification
- One passport size photograph.
14. Is it a Govt. organization? Are the certificates Govt. approved?
We are a private organization that provides courses which are GLOBALLY certified. Our Global certificates are accepted all over the world.
Indian Govt. does not conduct any such courses that specialize in cyber security domain. Our courses are GLOBAL Courses, affiliated to EC Council. And we have recently noticed that EC Council courses are mentioned on Govt. job tenders.
