If you are a Microsoft operating system user, it is intrinsic to know that recently, the organization discovered two unrevealed security risks namely: CVE-2020-1530 and CVE-2020-1537. With an immediate effect, Microsoft announced an emergency update for Window 8.1, Window RT 8.1 and Server 2012 R2.
The mentioned security vulnerabilities lie in the RAS (Remote Access Service). The main job of RAS is to connect clients with the network, so that they can access the internal data and information. Hence, these flaws in the operating system help the cyber criminals to enter into the system, and exploit files and storage.
To prevent these uncertain attacks, Microsoft released the first update on 11th August for different operating systems (Window 10, Window 7 and others Window servers). Further, on 19th August, the organization released out-of-batch patches for Window 8.1 and Server 2012 R2.
On top of these 2 system risks, the company has noted 118 more software glitches (i.e. total 120). Moreover, It is observed that 17 out of 120 vulnerabilities are critical.
It is highly advised to users and sysadmins to download the latest update at your Windows operating system to avoid any data breach and cyber attacks.
Don't worry, download KB4578013 (standalone packages) from the Microsoft catalog and make your system risk free!
