CERT-IN (Indian Computer Emergency Response Team) has warned internet users in India about major security vulnerability in the Chrome browser. This is one of the biggest chrome updates issued by Google.
"Multiple vulnerabilities have been reported in Google Chrome which could allow an attacker to execute arbitrary code, gain access to sensitive information, or bypass security restrictions on the targeted system.
These vulnerabilities exist in Google Chrome due to use after free error in clipboard, media, and extensions, insufficient data validation in V8, out of bounds read error in networking or uninitialized use error in V8."
As per CERT-IN, there is a high risk to your personal information if you don't update the chrome browser in your system.
"An attacker could exploit these vulnerabilities by persuading a victim to visit a specially crafted website. Successful exploitation of these vulnerabilities could allow the attacker to execute arbitrary code, gain access to sensitive information, or bypass security restrictions on the targeted system,"
The update, Chrome 87 is said to be one of the biggest releases by Google in terms of security and performance. Moreover, the update will have a splendid impact on your device's battery and browsing experience. Everyone is advised to update their system; the update is available for all platforms (Windows, iOS, Mac, Linux, Android, and Chrome OS).
With this improvement, the users are likely to get a 25% faster-browsing experience. Also, as claimed by Google, your system will consume less RAM after the update of Chrome 87.
