In this year August 20 on Thursday the Gmail suffered massive outrage worldwide with many users complaining that they could not send any attachments or documents while the other few reported that they have not been able to log in at all. Popular outrage tracking portal down detector has reported that user reports indicate Google is having problems since 1:16 AM EDT.
Down detector reported there was an outage with Google servers. Google responded to users, saying they were working on a fix to resolve the issue. Down detector said nearly 62percent of the users reported problems with Gmail, being unable to send or receive mails. Gmail in its standing web page confirmed the disruption it wrote that we are investigating reports of an issue with Gmail. We will provide more information shortly.
Meanwhile, micro blogging website twitter has been flooded with queries because the customers are unable to work on Gmail. This is the second time in two months that Gmail has suffered such massive outrage.
In July this year, Google went down for hours. Users in India and in some other countries went to social media platforms complaining they were unable to access Gmail and other Google services. Due to Google email services Gmail is reportedly going down globally with several users unable to send their files and attachments users took to social media platforms to complain that they are unable to send emails and attach files to emails. Some even shared screenshots of Gmail thrown when they tried to attach a document. Google apps status page has also updated to confirm that they’ve received reports of issues related to Gmail. Users have taken to Twitter and Down Detector website to talk about the issues and highlight the problems facing Google services especially Gmail used by millions of users worldwide.
